This project provided a simple, elegant addition that adds a master suite for the home and created a connection to the lovely garden space. The new bedroom space has windows that align with an existing red bud tree that shifts from sculptural in winter to provide filtered shade in the summer and then has an exquisite bloom in the spring. The design includes the transformation of an existing bathroom to an elegant master bath which fills the existing bath with luxurious materials while keeping the layout and flow simple and open. The design also provided a new shade canopy over a rear terrace which creates a lovely indoor outdoor space and connects the dining room and kitchen to the rear yard and master suite addition.
